HARGEISA- A review conference for the strategic plan of the Ministry of Livestock and Rural Development was officially opened in Hargeisa on Monday.
The Minister of Livestock and Rural Development of the Republic of Somaliland, Omar Shuaib, inaugurated the review of the ministry’s five-year strategic plan covering the period from 2025 to 2030.
The plan, which is in its final stages, focuses on strengthening livestock health services, increasing production, improving market access, and advancing rural development. Participants reviewed recommendations and technical input aimed at enhancing the quality of the plan to ensure it effectively addresses the country’s development priorities.
The conference brought together departmental directors and technical experts from the ministry, who examined key components of the strategy ahead of its formal approval.
Officials said the review process is intended to align the plan with national development goals and improve service delivery across the livestock and rural development sectors.
