Hargeisa-The National HIV/AIDS Control Commission, led by the Director of Awareness and Mobilization, Mr. Barkhad Mohamoud Geeddi, has officially concluded a week-long HIV/AIDS awareness campaign conducted in barber shops across Hargeisa.
The initiative aimed to enhance community outreach efforts by providing barbers with essential training on protecting clients’ health, upholding strict hygiene standards, and properly sterilizing equipment to prevent the transmission of diseases.
Mr. Geeddi underscored the importance of consistently applying these health and safety measures, noting the vital role barbers play in reducing the risk of HIV/AIDS and promoting public health within the community.
