HARGEISA – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro), followed the live broadcast of the Somaliland Champions League final from Dubai today, as the Hargeisa Municipality team emerged victorious.
The highly anticipated match, played at the Abdalla Stadium in Berbera, Sahil Region, saw the Hargeisa Municipality team face off against Gaashaan (the National Defense Forces). Following the conclusion of the match, the President extended his congratulations to the winning side and commended both teams for their performance.
In his statement, the President highlighted the importance of sportsmanship and national unity:
“I have been watching the exciting final match between the JSL Military’s Gaashaan team and the Hargeisa Municipality team live. I send my congratulations to the winning team. I hope that such competitions continue to foster brotherhood and full mutual respect. Sports strengthen unity, social integration, and the enhancement of the health and talent of our youth.”
The President concluded by reaffirming his support for the development of sports across the nation, congratulating the Hargeisa Municipality team on taking home the trophy.
