HARGEISA, Somaliland — Somaliland’s Minister of Health Development, Dr. Hussein Bashir Hirsi, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at expanding healthcare services across the country, particularly in the rapidly growing capital, Hargeisa.
Dr. Hirsi said Hargeisa, which he described as having a population approaching two million people, faces increasing demand for medical services and requires significant expansion of its healthcare infrastructure.
“In line with the policy of the President of the Republic of Somaliland, we welcome anyone who contributes to expanding healthcare services in Somaliland,” the minister said, emphasizing that the government encourages investment and partnerships that strengthen the country’s health sector.
