Hargeisa-The Spokesperson of the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Hussein Aden Igeh (Deyr), has issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter) emphasizing that the young generation of Somaliland those born in 1991 and after are children of freedom who have never lived under Somali rule or experienced governance from Mogadishu.
In his remarks, the spokesperson underscored that for this generation, the concept of “Somali unity” is not a lived reality but a failed experiment of the past.
He stated that Somaliland’s youth are the heirs of a hard won sovereignty and the guardians of the nation’s continued independence, statehood, and forward-looking future.
