Hargeisa โ The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, is expected to make an official visit to Israel at the end of March, according to informed sources closely following the visit, as reported by The Jerusalem Post.
This visit will mark the first official trip by the President of the Republic of Somaliland to Israel, although the President had previously made a preliminary visit to the country.
Earlier discussions between Somaliland and Israel contributed to Israelโs recognition of Somaliland in December 2025, laying the groundwork for stronger bilateral cooperation.
The report added that key areas expected to shape Somaliland and Israel relations include technology, agriculture, and innovation sectors in which Israel is globally recognized as a leading country.
