The President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), has emphasized the countryโs commitment to renewable energy and industrial investment during an interview with CNN.
President Irro stated that expanding access to energy is essential for economic growth and industrial development, noting that Somaliland is creating an enabling environment for investors.โRenewable energy is open, and energy is another important factor for us because we must encourage industries,โ he said.The President also announced incentives for investors seeking to establish factories in Somaliland.โ
I have allocated free land to all those who want to build industries in Somaliland. They will receive land at no cost, and we have investment laws to regulate and support them,โ he added.
The remarks highlight Somalilandโs broader strategy to attract investment, promote manufacturing, and strengthen sustainable economic development.
