LUGHAYA- The Minister of Energy and Minerals of the Republic of Somaliland Ahmed Jama Barre has launched key development projects in Lughaya, including hospital electrification, a new school, and an ice storage facility.
Speaking during the ceremony, Minister Barre highlighted the importance of integrating development with peacebuilding, noting that such projects are essential for sustainable economic growth and improved living standards.
The projects follow recent peace talks in western Somaliland and aim to improve healthcare, education, and support the local fishing economy.
