Hargeisa — Somaliland’s Minister of Information, Culture and Public Guidance, and Government Spokesperson, Mr. Barkhad Jama Hirsi (Batun), has welcome Somaliland Minister Hits Back at Somalia, Welcomes Israeli Ambassador Appointmentd Israel’s appointment of a new ambassador to Somaliland Michael Lotem, calling it a sign of growing diplomatic engagement.
At a press conference, the Minister described the move as irreversible progress, firmly dismissing Somalia’s reaction and stating it cannot hinder Somaliland’s advancing international ties and recognition efforts.
He urged Somaliland citizens to maintain unity and safeguard national values to support the country’s long-term goals.
Minister Batuun concluded that the progress achieved reflects the leadership of President Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), emphasizing that the country’s trajectory cannot be reversed.
