๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ž๐ข๐ฌ๐š-The Director General of Somalilandโ€™s Ministry of Livestock and Rural Development, Ahmed Osman Jama, has praised veterinarians as โ€œfrontline defendersโ€ during celebrations marking World Veterinary Day in Hargeisa.

Speaking at the event, Jama described veterinarians across Somaliland as professionals who serve with the same dedication as soldiers, working around the clock to deliver essential animal health services across all regions.

โ€œI congratulate all veterinarians working in the livestock sector. They operate like soldiers, tirelessly always carrying out their duties,โ€ he said.

This yearโ€™s World Veterinary Day in Somaliland was held under the theme: โ€œVeterinarians are guardians of food and health,โ€ highlighting their critical role in protecting livestock, ensuring food security, and safeguarding public health.
