Hargeisa-The newly appointed Somaliland Ambassador to Israel, Mohamed Hagi, has affirmed that his diplomatic mandate will extend beyond his host country to include engagement with several other nations.
The Ambassador conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Somaliland and to President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) for the trust and confidence placed in him.
In his remarks, he stated:โMy appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary will cover multiple countries. It will not be confined to a single state; rather, it will open new diplomatic avenues guided by a forward-looking strategic vision rooted in our national objective to expand Somalilandโs presence and influence across international platforms.
I am fully committed to discharging this responsibility with integrity, professionalism, and unwavering determination to advance our national aspirations.
I will give the highest priority to strengthening and deepening SomalilandโIsrael relations so that they develop into a strong, strategic, and enduring partnership. This cooperation will be built on comprehensive collaboration in security, economic development, technology, diplomacy, and broader development initiatives, with the aim of promoting shared interests, regional stability, sustainable prosperity, and long-term security.โ
