๐‡๐€๐‘๐†๐„๐ˆ๐’๐€โ€” The WADDANI opposition party, led by Hirsi Ali Haji Hassan, has signed a cooperation agreement with the General Federation of Somaliland Trade Unions, marking a new phase in politicalโ€“labor relations.

Hirsi said the partnership reflects a globally common practice where political parties and labor unions collaborate, noting that such cooperation is still emerging in Somaliland.

He described the agreement as a preliminary memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening workersโ€™ rights, institutional capacity, and dialogue between labor groups and political actors.

โ€œWe are offering all workers in Somaliland a platform for partnership,โ€ Hirsi said, adding that supporting labor unions has long been part of WADDANIโ€™s political agenda.

The move is seen as part of broader efforts to integrate labor voices into Somalilandโ€™s evolving democratic and political system.
