Hargeisa-President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro), today received the newly elected Speaker of the House of Elders (Guurti), Muse Haji Abdi Ducaale, and the outgoing Speaker, Saleeban Mohamoud Adan, at the Presidential Office.
President Irro congratulated the new Speaker on earning the confidence of the House and wished him success in strengthening the Guurti’s role in safeguarding peace, stability, national unity, and Somaliland’s democratic process.
The President also expressed his deep appreciation to the outgoing Speaker for his many years of dedicated service to the nation, praising his wisdom and leadership and describing him as a respected national elder deserving of honor and recognition.
